Aldn: The Rat and the Cat-Prlg

Mirage sat in her lair, watching Aladdin and Jasmine through her crystal ball.

“Every time I try to destroy their pathetic relationship they always find a way to defeat me,” she hisses slashing at the image. She had tried many times to show that such an emotion like love was weak.

“Why must he win every time? How is it that he defeats me time and again?” she thought as she ponders. “And yet. . . . . he does it with such agility and skill.”

She shakes her head, “Where did that come from?”

Looking back at her crystal ball again at the young couple kissing and strangely felt a pang of jealousy as she watched them. “If only that was me with him.”

She shook her head again, “What am I thinking? He’s an enemy. I can’t have feelings for him and yet I can’t help it.”

She thought back to when she had loved , everything had gone smoothly until he broke her heart. That was why she had been trying to prove that love was weak and useless. She thought that until she met him.

She sighed watching the two embrace. She wish she could tell him how she felt but she didn’t know how he would react to the sudden truth.

“I shall tell him in time but not right now. It’s too soon,” she thought giving the image one last gaze before making the image disappear before retiring to her chambers to  rest.

Aladdin stood out on the balcony at night while Jasmine was asleep, looking up at the stars.

“Such a beautiful night,” he thought looking into the clear sky.

The stars shone brightly and twinkled in the pale night sky. A shooting star appeared across the sky in a majestic wonder.

“Mirage”

He shook his head. Where did that come? To think of her was a betrayal to Jasmine.

“Why would I think of her? She tried to ruin my relationship with Jasmine many times and she had kidnapped my friend Amal when we were kids,” he thought looking on into the sky.

“That woman has caused trouble for many and tried to destroy so much but we have managed to defeat her each time.” He leaned against the balcony staring into the night.

“How can think of an Evil Incarnate? A cold hearted creature?” he thought “Yet she has the beauty and grace of a goddess.”

He sighed, “Why would I fall in love with her besides she wouldn’t feel the same way about me.” He gave the starry night one last look before going to bed but a quiet whisper was heard.

“I love you.”
